The AVBOB Poetry Competition is open for entries.

Submission Guidelines

• The Competition is open to any citizen of South Africa.
• Entrants may enter poems in more than one of the language categories; however, the same poem(s) may not be translated and entered in more than one language category.
• Poems should not exceed 30 lines in length (excluding title).
• Any style of poetry is open for consideration
• Theme “I wish I’d said”

Entry fee: R300

Prizes:

• A chance to be published on the AVBOB Poetry Competition website and other platforms.
• The opportunity for your work to feature in a print anthology alongside that of renowned poets.
• One of the AVBOB poetry prizes in your language category.
