The Scottish Arts Trust: Edinburgh Award for Flash Fiction 2027 is open for entries.
Submission Guidelines
- The Edinburgh Flash Fiction Award is open to all writers worldwide, published and unpublished.
- Writers must be over 16 years old by 1 September 2026.
- Entries (max 250 words) can be on any theme or subject but must be for adult readers and written in English.
Judge: Meg Pokrass
Entry fee: £10 per story. (Bursaries available)
Prizes:
- FIRST PRIZE: £2,000 and one year free membership of the Scottish Arts Club
- SECOND PRIZE: £500
- THIRD PRIZE: £250
Deadline: 31 August 2026 at 23.59 UK Time
